Augustin Lagarde is Principal Economist at Simetrica-Jacobs. Augustin leads or provides his technical expertise on projects such as non-market and wellbeing valuation, impact assessment and economic valuation.
Augustin has played a key role in numerous research in the arts, culture and heritage sector for various clients ranging from contingent valuation and benefit transfer studies to aggregation studies and business case appraisal.
Augustin also has extensive experience in the public, private and third sector with various wellbeing valuation studies, impact assessment and programme evaluation and in developing social value banks.
Before joining Simetrica-Jacobs, Augustin worked at Bruegel as a Research Assistant in the area of international climate commitment and sectoral competitiveness. Prior to this, Augustin worked as a Policy Analyst at the French Ministry of Environment.
Augustin holds two undergraduate degrees in Economics from the University of Poitiers (France) and from the University of Banska Bystrica (Slovakia), and an MSc in Environmental Economics from the Toulouse School of Economics.
